What are the different types of student loans?
Curious about College planning
In India, there are primarily two types of student loans available:
1. Secured Student Loans: These loans require collateral, which can be in the form of property, fixed deposits, or any other asset of value. The interest rate on secured student loans is usually lower than unsecured loans, and the repayment period is longer.
2. Unsecured Student Loans: These loans do not require collateral and are offered based on the student's academic performance, course of study, and creditworthiness of the coborrower. The interest rate on unsecured student loans is higher than secured loans, and the repayment period is shorter.
